Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a friendly Pita Safaris representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Your first night is spent at the elegant Sarova Panafric Hotel, one of Nairobi's best-known midrange accommodations. Located just minutes from the city center, the hotel offers comfortable ensuite rooms, lush gardens, and an inviting pool—perfect for relaxing after your international journey.
Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to explore some of Nairobi’s attractions such as the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum (optional, at own cost). Dinner is available at the hotel restaurant or nearby eateries, offering both local and international cuisine.
Tonight, prepare for your exciting Kenya safari from Nairobi that begins in full swing the next morning.

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara – Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, your 7-day Kenya safari adventure officially begins as you depart Nairobi in a private 4x4 safari vehicle. The scenic drive (~280 km | 5–6 hours) takes you through the Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at a viewpoint offering breathtaking vistas. Continue into the rolling savannahs of the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the most famous wildlife areas in Africa and a top destination for spotting the Big Five.
Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge, your home for the next two nights. Set on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, this midrange lodge offers spacious ensuite rooms, warm hospitality, and panoramic views of the Mara ecosystem.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Masai Mara. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly cheetahs. Return to the lodge for a delicious dinner, followed by a restful night under the starry African sky.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
Today promises to be one of the most thrilling days of your Masai Mara safari tour. After an early breakfast, set out with packed picnic lunches for a full-day game drive in this world-renowned reserve. Your guide will navigate through diverse habitats—open plains, riverine forests, and acacia-dotted landscapes—as you track wildlife and explore the Mara’s abundant ecosystems.
Expect to encounter elephants, buffalo, hyenas, warthogs, and if lucky, elusive leopards. If visiting between July and October, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the world’s most dramatic wildlife spectacles.
Optional activities include a visit to a traditional Maasai village or a sunrise hot air balloon safari (advance booking required).
Return to Mara Sopa Lodge by late afternoon to relax and enjoy dinner as the sounds of the bush echo in the distance.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru – Scenic Drive & Evening Game Drive
After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell to Masai Mara and begin your journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park (~250 km | 5 hours). Enjoy a picnic lunch en route and soak in the ever-changing landscapes of Kenya’s highlands and valleys.
Arrive in the afternoon at Lake Nakuru Lodge, a charming midrange lodge nestled inside the park with stunning views of the lake. After check-in, you may have time for a short evening game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flocks of pink flamingos, endangered white and black rhinos, and tree-climbing lions.
Dinner is served at the lodge’s open-air restaurant overlooking the park’s lush surroundings.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive in Nakuru – Drive to Lake Naivasha & Boat Safari
Rise early for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, offering excellent opportunities to spot rhinos, waterbucks, and baboons. After the game drive, enjoy breakfast at the lodge before departing for Lake Naivasha (~70 km | 2 hours), arriving in time for lunch.
Check into the beautiful Muthu Lake Naivasha Country Club, where manicured lawns meet the lakeshore and hippos graze nearby in the evening. After lunch, embark on a boat safari across the lake, gliding past pods of hippos and flocks of waterbirds. Dock at Crescent Island for a walking safari, where you can stroll alongside giraffes, zebras, and gazelles.
Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 6: Hell’s Gate National Park – Drive to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, drive to nearby Hell’s Gate National Park for a short hike or optional bike ride through volcanic gorges and cliffs (~25 km | 45 minutes). Hell’s Gate is one of the few parks in Kenya where you can walk or cycle among wildlife like zebras, elands, and buffalo.
Following your morning activity, begin your journey south to Amboseli National Park (~300 km | 5–6 hours), with a stop for lunch en route. Arrive by late afternoon and check into Amboseli Sopa Lodge, a serene midrange lodge set in acacia woodlands just outside the park.
Dinner is served as the sun sets behind the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 7: Full-Day Safari in Amboseli National Park
Today, immerse yourself in a full day of wildlife viewing in Amboseli, famed for its iconic images of elephants with Kilimanjaro in the background. Set out early on a game drive, return for breakfast, then head out again after lunch or enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
Look for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, and over 400 species of birds. Visit Observation Hill for a stunning panoramic view of the park and swamps.
Return to the lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy your final night in the wild.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive in Amboseli – Return to Nairobi
Start the day with a sunrise game drive in Amboseli, famous for its large elephant herds and postcard-perfect views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Watch elephants in family groups, and spot lions, cheetahs, and grazing antelopes.
Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast, then check out and begin your drive back to Nairobi (~240 km | 5 hours). Enjoy a picnic lunch en route as you reflect on your unforgettable midrange Kenya safari adventure.
Your driver will drop you off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure—or at your pre-booked hotel for an optional overnight stay.
