Welcome to the official Booking Terms & Conditions of Pita Safaris, the best East Africa safari operator, offering authentic, tailor-made safari holidays across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda. Whether you’re planning a Big Five safari Kenya adventure, a budget safari Tanzania, a midrange Uganda lodge safari, or a luxury gorilla safari Rwanda, these terms ensure transparency, comfort, and safety as you explore the best national parks, wildlife experiences, and cultural destinations East Africa has to offer.
By confirming your reservation, you agree to these conditions, supporting smooth travel arrangements with one of the region’s most trusted East Africa safari companies.

General Terms of Booking
These terms apply to all Kenya safari packages, Tanzania safari holidays, and bookings with Pita Safaris. Updates may occur, but the version current at the time of booking remains valid.

Booking Confirmation & Payments
To secure your custom East Africa safari itinerary:
- A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required.
- Final payment is due 30–60 days before the safari start date.
- Bookings made within 30 days require full payment upfront.
Gorilla & Chimpanzee Permits: For gorilla trekking in Rwanda, Bwindi Uganda safaris, or chimpanzee tracking in Kibale, full advance payment is required. Permits are non-refundable and subject to availability.
Payment Methods:
- M-Pesa (Kenya clients)
- Bank Transfer (USD or KES)
- Online Card Payment (Visa/Mastercard)
Group Joining Safaris, such as budget safari Kenya or Tanzania adventure safaris, must be paid in full upon confirmation.

- Cancellations must be submitted in writing.
- Gorilla/chimpanzee permit fees are non-refundable.
- No-shows, missed flights, or unused services are not refundable.
- Force majeure events may allow date rescheduling.

Included in your Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, or Rwanda safari package:
- Lodge or camping accommodation, including budget, midrange, and luxury lodge safari options
- Meals (B, L, D)
- 4x4 game drives in destinations like Masai Mara, Serengeti, Lake Nakuru National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Amboseli
- Park entry fees for Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda national parks
- Bottled water during safari
- All budget camping gear (if applicable)
Not Included in your Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, or Rwanda safari package:
- International flights
- Visas & vaccinations (see Kenya safari visa, Tanzania visa, Uganda visa, Rwanda visa)
- Travel insurance (mandatory)
- Tips & personal expenses
- Optional add-ons: hot air balloon safaris, cultural tours (Samburu, Batwa, Rwanda communities), Mount Kenya climbing, Mount Kilimanjaro treks, Zanzibar beach safaris

Mandatory Travel Insurance
All travelers must purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:
- Medical evacuation
- Trip cancellation
- Luggage loss
- COVID-19 coverage (if applicable)

Entry, Health & Visa
- Yellow Fever certificate may be needed.
- Visa required for most travelers—see Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania requirements.

Safari Conduct & Luggage
- Respect park rules and local cultures.
- Follow your guide’s instructions for a safe and smooth safari experience.
- Only soft luggage (max 15kg) on fly-in safaris.
- Inform us of medical conditions at booking.

Child Policy
- Children 4+ welcome on most safaris.
- Gorilla trekking allowed for ages 15+.
- Family discounts offered on Kenya family safaris and Uganda lodge safari packages.

Photo & Media Consent
We may use photos taken during Kenya adventure safaris, Rwanda safari holidays, or Zanzibar beach safaris for marketing purposes unless you opt out.

Optional Excursions
Pre-book or pay locally for:
- Hot air balloon rides in Masai Mara or Serengeti
- Boat safaris at Lake Naivasha, Lake Kivu
- Cultural visits to Batwa, Maasai, or Rwanda communities

Tipping Guidelines
- Safari Guide: $10–$20/day
- Cook (camping safaris): $5–$10/day
- Lodge Staff: Optional gratuities

We Provide: Dome tents, cooking tools, sleeping mats
You Bring: Sleeping bag, flashlight/headlamp, power bank, insect repellent, and personal items

Booking Modifications
Change requests (30+ days prior) are subject to availability. Peak season changes may incur fees.

All park fees and VAT are included unless stated. New levies added post-booking may be passed on.

Legal Liability
- Not responsible for third-party transport delays or cancellations.
- Travelers are responsible for meeting travel entry requirements.
- Jurisdiction: Nairobi, Kenya. Mediation preferred over litigation.

Confirming your Kenya safari holidays, Tanzania lodge safari, Uganda lodge safari, or any custom East Africa safari itinerary via email or payment binds you to these terms.
