Karibu Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), a professional Pita Safaris driver-guide will welcome you with a personalized signboard and assist with your transfer to Arusha, the bustling gateway to the northern safari circuit.
Along the drive, soak in views of Mount Meru and the lush green foothills—a fitting preview of the landscapes you’ll explore during your Tanzania wildlife safari.
Check in to the Kibo Palace Hotel, known for its comfort, warm hospitality, and central location. Relax in your ensuite room, take a swim in the pool, or simply unwind with a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Arusha National Park Game Drive – Giraffes, Craters & Forest Trails
Distance: ~40 km | Drive Time: ~1 hour
Start your day with breakfast before heading into Arusha National Park, a gem often overlooked but teeming with wildlife and beauty. Located at the base of Mount Meru, this park is home to giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, flamingos, colobus monkeys, and over 400 species of birds.
Enjoy a guided game drive across Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater, soaking up the varied landscapes of swamps, forest, and savannah. Optionally, take a short walking safari with a park ranger—an intimate way to experience Tanzania's flora and fauna up close.
Return to your hotel in Arusha to relax before dinner. This day offers a gentle yet exciting start to your East Africa safari adventure.

Day 3: Arusha to Tarangire – Giant Elephants & Baobab Trees
Distance: ~120 km | Drive Time: ~2.5 hours
After breakfast, your journey continues to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden treasures. Famed for its large elephant population, this park features dramatic landscapes dotted with iconic baobab trees, river valleys, and swamps.
Enjoy a midday and afternoon game drive, where you may spot lions, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species. Tarangire is less crowded than other parks, making it ideal for a peaceful small group safari experience.
Tonight, unwind at the serene Lake Burunge Tented Lodge, a midrange lodge with stunning views of Lake Burunge and peaceful surroundings—perfect after a full day in the bush.

Day 4: Tarangire to Lake Natron – Waterfalls & Volcanic Vistas
Distance: ~90 km | Drive Time: ~2 hours
Today, head to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but wildlife-rich reserve located along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, scenic groundwater forests, and huge flocks of pink flamingos along the alkaline lake.
During your afternoon game drive, look for elephants, hippos, warthogs, baboons, bushbucks, and over 300 bird species. The terrain shifts dramatically from forest to savannah, offering rich photographic opportunities.
Later, check in at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, perched on the escarpment with stunning valley views. Enjoy a quiet evening and a hearty dinner at this comfortable safari lodge in Tanzania.

Day 5: Morning Walking Safari – Cultural Route to Ngorongoro
Distance: ~100 km | Drive Time: ~2 hours
Start your morning with a guided walking safari in the Lake Manyara ecosystem. This unique experience lets you connect with nature on foot—observe animal tracks, learn about indigenous plants, and see giraffes or antelopes up close, all under the guidance of an expert ranger.
After lunch, drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, enjoy optional cultural stops or roadside views of Maasai bomas and volcanic landscapes.
By evening, arrive at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, located near the crater rim. Breathe in the cool highland air and relax as you prepare for your Ngorongoro Crater safari tomorrow.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Departure via Kilimanjaro Airport
Distance (Ngorongoro to KIA): ~250 km | Drive Time: ~5–6 hours
Rise early and descend into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheater and one of the best places in East Africa to spot the Big Five—lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffaloes.
Enjoy a half-day game drive on the crater floor, where abundant wildlife roams against the backdrop of high crater walls. Keep an eye out for hyenas, jackals, flamingos, and hippos near the lakes.
After a scenic picnic lunch by a hippo pool, ascend the crater and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home, marking the end of your unforgettable midrange safari in Tanzania.
