Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be warmly greeted by your professional Pita Safaris driver-guide with a cheerful Karibu sana! — Swahili for “you are very welcome.”

Enjoy a scenic transfer to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Along the way, admire lush coffee farms, banana plantations, and the region’s iconic red soil landscapes.

Check in at Kibo Palace Hotel, a midrange lodge offering ensuite rooms, a serene pool, and tropical gardens. Depending on your arrival time, explore Arusha’s colorful craft markets or sip fresh Tanzanian coffee at a local café.

Day 2: Lake Manyara Safari – Elephants, Birds & Tree-Climbing Lions

Pass through vast savannahs and Maasai villages before ascending to the crater rim, where you’ll settle into Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp — a cozy tented camp nestled near the crater’s edge.
