Enjoy a scenic transfer to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Along the way, admire lush coffee farms, banana plantations, and the region’s iconic red soil landscapes.

Check in at Kibo Palace Hotel, a midrange lodge offering ensuite rooms, a serene pool, and tropical gardens. Depending on your arrival time, explore Arusha’s colorful craft markets or sip fresh Tanzanian coffee at a local café.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Explore lush groundwater forests, open plains, and the sparkling lake shores teeming with flamingos, pelicans, and more than 400 bird species. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, hippos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beneath an acacia tree and continue your afternoon game drive until sunset before returning to camp.

After breakfast and one last Serengeti game drive, head east toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Fun Fact: The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to over 25,000 animals, including rare black rhinos.

Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called Africa’s Garden of Eden. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers one of the best chances to spot the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo pool, then ascend the crater walls and begin your journey back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight (or optional overnight in Arusha).
