Along the way, admire the banana plantations, coffee estates, and red soils that define East Africa’s lush landscapes.
Check in at Kibo Palace Hotel, a comfortable midrange lodge featuring ensuite rooms, a sparkling pool, and tropical gardens. Depending on your arrival time, explore Arusha’s vibrant markets, visit local art galleries, or unwind with a cup of world-famous Tanzanian coffee.
Travel Tip: Arrive early to enjoy Arusha’s cultural highlights or sample fresh local cuisine before your adventure begins.
Distance: ~55 km | ~1 hour drive
Day 2: Arusha National Park – Giraffes, Craters & Walking Safaris
After breakfast, venture to Arusha National Park, a hidden gem at the foot of Mount Meru. This compact park boasts diverse habitats — the Ngurdoto Crater, Momella Lakes, montane forests, and grassy plains teeming with giraffes, buffaloes, and colobus monkeys.
Enjoy a scenic game drive and, for an extra thrill, join a guided walking safari with a park ranger — a unique way to experience Tanzania’s wilderness up close.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Depart Arusha after breakfast and head south toward Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees.
Your private 4x4 safari vehicle takes you across open savannahs and winding river valleys where lions, zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes roam freely.
After a picnic lunch, continue to Lake Burunge Tented Lodge, overlooking the lake and surrounded by acacia woodlands. Unwind on your veranda, sip sundowners, and listen to the calls of the wild.
Photo Tip: Tarangire’s sunset silhouettes of elephants and baobabs are among Africa’s most iconic safari scenes.
Distance: ~120 km | 2.5–3 hours drive
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park – Rift Valley & Tree-Climbing Lions
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but spectacular park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Explore forests, acacia woodlands, and lakeshores alive with elephants, hippos, baboons, and more than 400 bird species, including flamingos.
The park is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, often spotted lounging on acacia branches.
In the evening, check in at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, perched high above the Rift Valley with breathtaking sunset views over the lake.
Travel Tip: Though compact, Manyara packs in more scenery and birdlife per square kilometer than almost any other park in Tanzania.
Distance: ~90 km | ~2 hours drive
Day 5: Ngorongoro Highlands – Walking Safari & Maasai Culture
This morning, enjoy a guided walking safari in the Lake Manyara ecosystem — a wonderful opportunity to spot giraffes and antelopes while learning about animal tracks, medicinal plants, and Maasai traditions.
After lunch, travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands, passing lush valleys, volcanic hills, and Maasai villages.
Arrive at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, located near the crater rim, where the air is crisp and the views are unforgettable.
Did You Know? The Ngorongoro Highlands rise over 2,200 meters, offering cool climates and dramatic scenery shaped by ancient volcanoes.
Distance: ~100 km | ~2 hours drive
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Big Five Finale & Departure
Rise early for your descent into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries.
