Your journey begins with a personal welcome at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Meet your Pita Safaris representative and transfer to your luxury Nairobi hotel.
Spend the rest of the day settling in after your flight. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and prepare for your journey to the Masai Mara.
If you arrive early, optional Nairobi experiences can be arranged, subject to timing, availability, and additional cost. These may include Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust or the Karen Blixen Museum.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi in your private 4×4 Safari Land Cruiser and travel towards the Masai Mara through the Great Rift Valley.
Pause at a suitable viewpoint to take in the scenery before continuing through the countryside to your lodge or tented camp. Arrive for check-in and lunch, then set out on your first afternoon game drive, subject to arrival time and local conditions.
Look for giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions and other wildlife as your guide introduces you to the reserve. Return to your accommodation for dinner and your first evening in the Mara.

Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara National Reserve with your private guide. Travel between wildlife habitats and pause where the day offers rewarding sightings.
Search for lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino, while also looking out for cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras and birdlife. A picnic lunch allows you to remain in the reserve and make the most of the day.
If you enjoy photography, your guide can allow time for longer sightings and better viewing positions, within reserve regulations and daily conditions.
Between July and October, there may be opportunities to encounter wildlife associated with the Great Wildebeest Migration. Animal movements and river crossings remain unpredictable.

After breakfast, check out and begin the road journey back to Nairobi. There is no scheduled morning game drive on this day.
On arrival, transfer to your agreed Nairobi hotel, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Wilson Airport, or another confirmed location.
If you are connecting to an onward flight, share your flight details before booking so transfer arrangements can be reviewed. An additional night in Nairobi may be more practical for some departure schedules.
