Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Entebbe or Kampala

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you to Uganda. You'll be transferred to your hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe, where you can relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Flight to Kidepo Valley National Park – Remote Wilderness

After a delicious breakfast, we'll board a domestic flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. This remote and untouched wilderness is often referred to as "the true African wilderness." Upon arrival, we'll check into our lodge and have some time to unwind and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

Day 3: Kidepo Valley National Park – Game Drives and Guided Walks

Today, we'll venture deep into Kidepo Valley National Park on thrilling game drives. With the help of our expert guides, we'll search for the park's impressive wildlife, including herds of elephants, buffalos, giraffes, and antelopes. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, leopards, and hyenas, which are also found in this remarkable wilderness. In the afternoon, we'll embark on a guided nature walk, providing an opportunity to explore the park's diverse flora and learn about the local ecosystems.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park – Cultural Interaction

Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of the region with a visit to a local Karamojong community. Engage in genuine cultural exchanges, witness traditional dances, and gain insights into the unique way of life of these resilient people. Learn about their traditional herding practices and craftsmanship, and perhaps purchase some traditional handicrafts as souvenirs.

Day 5: Flight to Lake Mburo National Park – Serene Landscapes

After breakfast, we'll bid farewell to Kidepo Valley and board a flight to Lake Mburo National Park. Nestled in the heart of Uganda, this park offers a serene oasis of rolling hills, open savannahs, and picturesque lakes. Upon arrival, we'll check in to our lodge and take some time to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

Day 6: Lake Mburo National Park – Wildlife Encounters and Boat Safari

Today, we'll set out on an exciting game drive through Lake Mburo National Park. This park is home to an abundance of wildlife, including zebras, impalas, topis, and elands. Keep your binoculars handy to spot a variety of bird species, as the park boasts over 350 recorded bird species. After the game drive, we'll embark on a thrilling boat safari on Lake Mburo. Glide through the tranquil waters while observing hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of waterbirds. It's a perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the park.

Day 7: Lake Mburo National Park – Horseback Safari and Night Game Drive

Today, we have the option of experiencing Lake Mburo National Park from a unique perspective – on a horseback safari. Ride through the park's scenic landscapes, surrounded by wildlife, and enjoy the sense of freedom and connection with nature. In the afternoon, we'll venture out on a captivating night game drive, accompanied by experienced guides. Witness the park's nocturnal inhabitants, such as hyenas, bushbabies, and elusive leopards, as they become active under the cover of darkness. It's a thrilling and immersive experience that offers a different glimpse into the park's diverse ecosystem.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Exploring the Mweya Peninsula

Leaving Lake Mburo National Park behind, we'll embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda's most renowned wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, we'll check into our lodge located on the picturesque Mweya Peninsula. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Kazinga Channel and the vast savannahs stretching into the horizon. Spend the afternoon at leisure, taking in the tranquil surroundings and preparing for the exciting wildlife encounters ahead.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game Drives and Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel

Today, we'll set out on thrilling game drives through Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalos, and a variety of antelope species. Keep your eyes peeled for leopards lounging on tree branches or elusive hyenas skulking through the grasslands. In the afternoon, we'll embark on a memorable boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway teems with hippos, crocodiles, and an abundance of birdlife. Marvel at the spectacular wildlife spectacle as animals gather along the channel to drink, bathe, and socialize.

Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Tree-Climbing Lions and Cultural Encounter

Our adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park continues as we explore the famous Ishasha sector, known for its unique tree-climbing lions. Take exhilarating game drives through the park's fig tree-dotted plains in search of these remarkable felines. Witness the fascinating sight of lions resting on tree branches, defying the norm of their counterparts in other regions. In the afternoon, we'll have the opportunity to visit a local community and engage in a cultural encounter, learning about the traditions and daily lives of the people who call this region home.

Day 11: Return to Entebbe or Kampala – Departure

After breakfast, it's time to bid farewell to the remarkable wilderness of Uganda and begin your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala and transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Take one last look at the picturesque landscapes and reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters you have experienced during "The Big Five Adventure."
