Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take this day to rest, acclimate to the surroundings, and prepare your camera gear for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha National Park
After breakfast, we embark on our photographic journey in the scenic Arusha National Park. Capture breathtaking images of Mount Meru, the second-highest peak in Tanzania, against the backdrop of the park's lush landscapes. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and various bird species. In the afternoon, we return to our accommodation in Arusha.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Today, we depart from Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Spend the day exploring the park's diverse ecosystem and capturing intimate moments of wildlife in their natural habitat. Photograph elephants bathing in rivers, graceful giraffes browsing on acacia trees, and lions resting under the shade of ancient baobabs. As the sun sets, we retreat to our campsite for a relaxing evening surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.
Day 4: Tarangire National Park
Continue your exploration of Tarangire National Park, focusing on different areas and seeking out unique photographic opportunities. Observe the interactions between different species, spot elusive predators, and capture the essence of this incredible wildlife sanctuary. In the evening, return to your campsite and share your experiences with fellow photography enthusiasts.
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park
Today, we venture to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its lush jungles, flamingo-filled lake, and unique tree-climbing lions. Spend the day capturing the vibrant birdlife, observing hippos in their natural habitat, and seeking out the elusive tree-climbing lions. Explore the park's diverse landscapes, from the dense forests to the open grasslands, and immerse yourself in the beauty of this remarkable location.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park
Continue your exploration of Lake Manyara National Park, focusing on different areas and seeking out unique photographic opportunities. Explore the dense jungles and capture the intricate details of the birdlife that inhabits the area. Keep your camera ready to capture the graceful movements of giraffes and the playful antics of baboons. As the day comes to a close, enjoy a picturesque sunset over the lake before returning to your campsite.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Today, we make our way to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, an iconic destination for wildlife photography. As you enter the park, be prepared to be greeted by the vast savannahs stretching as far as the eye can see. Capture the breathtaking landscapes, the abundant wildlife, and the incredible diversity of the Serengeti. Keep your camera ready to photograph the iconic Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing grounds. Spend the night in a comfortable camp within the park, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 8: Serengeti National Park
Dedicate another full day to exploring the wonders of the Serengeti. Venture deeper into the park, following the movements of the wildlife. Witness thrilling predator-prey interactions and seize the opportunity to photograph the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinoceros). Your experienced safari guide will help you locate the best spots for wildlife sightings and provide insights into animal behavior. Return to your camp in the evening to share stories and images with your fellow photography enthusiasts.
Day 9: Serengeti National Park
Continue your immersive experience in the Serengeti, further exploring the diverse habitats that support an incredible array of wildlife. Capture the magic of golden sunrises and sunsets over the savannah, which provides stunning lighting conditions for your photography. The Serengeti offers endless opportunities for capturing unique moments and showcasing the raw beauty of nature. In the evening, relax at your campsite and relish the memories you have made throughout the day.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today, we journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater and witness the dense concentration of wildlife against the backdrop of this ancient volcanic caldera. Capture images of the diverse ecosystems, including grasslands, swamps, and forests, as well as the abundant wildlife that resides here. Keep an eye out for the endangered black rhinoceros, which finds sanctuary within the crater. In the evening, settle into your lodge on the crater rim and enjoy breathtaking views over the landscape.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Spend another day exploring the wonders of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Venture outside the crater and visit nearby attractions, such as the Empakaai Crater or the Olduvai Gorge, known for its archaeological significance. Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of the Maasai community and capture images that showcase their traditional way of life. As the sun sets, savor your last night in the African wilderness.
Day 12: Farewell and Departure
After enjoying a hearty breakfast amidst the majestic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the time comes to pack up and bid adieu to the mesmerizing wilderness that has been your home for the past 11 days. The journey back to Arusha isn't just a drive, but a moving canvas of Tanzania's vibrant landscapes, offering ample opportunities for some final, memorable shots.
Once back in Arusha, soak in the town's lively ambiance one last time or engage in some last-minute shopping before you're escorted to the airport for your departure flight. As you bid goodbye to Tanzania, you'll be leaving with a rich collection of photographs and an even richer trove of unforgettable experiences.
