Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe/Kampala
Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Entebbe/Kampala. Upon arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, where you can rest and prepare for the adventure that lies ahead. In the evening, you'll enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel's renowned restaurant, The Pearl.
Day 2: Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you'll depart from Entebbe/Kampala and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half the world's population of mountain gorillas. The journey takes approximately 8-9 hours, and you'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Upon arrival at Bwindi, you'll check in to your lodge, and have dinner.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today, you'll embark on the highlight of your safari: gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, you'll set off into the dense jungle with your experienced ranger guide in search of these majestic creatures. The trek can be challenging, but the reward of seeing gorillas in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable. After the trek, you'll return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you'll enjoy a traditional dance performance by the local Batwa people.
Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you'll depart from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours, and you'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth, you'll check in to your lodge, and have some time to relax and enjoy the stunning views of Lake Edward and the Rwenzori Mountains. In the evening, you'll enjoy a game drive in the park, where you'll have the chance to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of other wildlife.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, you'll have a full day to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll start with a morning game drive, followed by a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The boat cruise offers a unique perspective on the park's wildlife, and you'll have the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of water birds. After lunch, you'll have some time to relax at your lodge before heading out on an evening game drive.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you'll depart from Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, and you'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Upon arrival at Murchison Falls, you'll check in to your lodge, and have dinner.
Day 7: Murchison Falls National Park
Today, you'll have a full day to explore Murchison Falls National Park. You'll start with a morning game drive, followed by a boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. The boat cruise offers stunning views of the falls, and you'll have the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds. After lunch, you'll have some time to relax at your lodge before heading out on an evening game drive.
Day 8: Murchison Falls National Park
Today, you'll have another full day to explore Murchison Falls National Park. You'll start with a morning hike to the top of Murchison Falls, where you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the falls and the surrounding landscape. After lunch, you'll have some time to relax at your lodge before heading out on an evening game drive.
Day 9: Murchison Falls National Park to Entebbe/Kampala
After breakfast, you'll depart from Murchison Falls National Park and travel back to Entebbe/Kampala. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, and you'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Upon arrival in Entebbe/Kampala, you'll be transferred to your hotel.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, you'll depart from Entebbe/Kampala and head to the airport for your onward journey. As you depart, you'll carry with you memories of the incredible wildlife, stunning landscapes, and warm people that make Uganda a true African gem.
