Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your private safari guide and driver. After a brief introduction, enjoy a seamless transfer to Sarova Panafric Hotel, a contemporary property renowned for its exceptional hospitality. After check-in, unwind and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Nairobi’s attractions, such as the Giraffe Centre or the Karen Blixen Museum (at additional cost). In the evening, savor a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 2: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve, journeying through Kenya’s diverse landscapes, from lush highlands to the arid regions of the north. Arrive at Ashnil Samburu Camp in time for lunch and enjoy a chance to relax. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Samburu, a reserve famed for its unique species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and reticulated giraffe, collectively known as the "Samburu Special Five." Return to your camp for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Spend a full day exploring the rugged beauty of Samburu. Begin with an early morning game drive to catch the predators and early risers. The reserve’s habitats, from riverine forests to open savannahs, support a rich variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Return to the camp for lunch and relaxation during the midday heat. In the afternoon, visit the Ewaso Ng’iro River, a lifeline for the reserve’s wildlife. Enjoy another game drive before returning to the camp for dinner and a night under the stars.

Day 4: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, depart Samburu and head south to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located in Laikipia. Arrive at Sweetwaters Serena Camp in time for lunch. After a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is known for its conservation efforts and is home to the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa, as well as the last two northern white rhinos. Visit the chimpanzee sanctuary and learn about the inspiring wildlife conservation initiatives.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, set off for Lake Nakuru National Park, journeying through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, check into Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive around the lake, renowned for its flocks of flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and waterbucks. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling game drive in the Mara, famous for its rich wildlife and dramatic landscapes. Witness the Big Five and, if visiting during the migration season, the Great Migration. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara. After breakfast, embark on a game drive with a picnic lunch to maximize your time in the reserve. Witness predators like lions and cheetahs and herbivores grazing across the open plains. Optionally, experience a hot air balloon safari for an unforgettable aerial view (at additional cost). Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Masai Mara to Nairobi and Departure

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Mara and return to Nairobi. Upon arrival, enjoy some leisure time or partake in optional activities, such as visiting the Giraffe Centre or a Maasai market for last-minute souvenirs (time permitting). Later, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.

Meals: Breakfast at Sarova Mara Game Camp.
