Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

Pick up after your early hearty breakfast at your Nairobi hotel or Airport in the morning drive departing for the Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive to the Masai Mara is an experience in itself, taking you through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley with its dramatic escarpments and lush landscapes. You'll have opportunities to stop for photos and take in the stunning views. Upon arrival at the Masai Mara, check into your budget lodge or tented camp, which offers a cozy and authentic African safari experience. After enjoying a delicious lunch, you'll embark on your first game drive into the reserve. The Masai Mara is teeming with wildlife, from herds of elephants and prides of lions to cheetahs, zebras, and antelopes. As the sun sets, casting a golden hue over the savannah, return to your lodge for dinner and an evening of relaxation under the starlit sky.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

Wake up early to the sounds of the wild and prepare for a full day of exploration in the Masai Mara. The morning game drive is an opportune time to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they are most active during the cooler hours. After a few hours of wildlife viewing, return to the lodge for a substantial breakfast. The rest of the morning can be spent at your leisure; perhaps take a dip in the lodge pool or relax in the common area. For those interested in cultural experiences, an optional visit to a nearby Masai village can be arranged. Here, you'll learn about the Masai people's traditions, lifestyle, and crafts. After lunch, set out for an afternoon game drive, exploring different parts of the reserve and potentially witnessing the Great Migration, depending on the time of year. Return to your lodge for dinner and share stories of your sightings and experiences with fellow travelers around a campfire.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi

On your final day, savor the early morning serenity of the Masai Mara with one last game drive. This is your chance to capture any final photographs and soak in the beauty of the reserve. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, then pack your belongings and check out. The drive back to Nairobi allows for more scenic views and perhaps a stop at a local curio shop for some souvenirs. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon where you will be dropped off at JKIA for your onward flight, or at a location of your choice within the city. Reflect on the incredible experiences and breathtaking sights you’ve encountered over the past few days as you conclude your safari adventure.
