Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Upon landing at Entebbe Airport, you'll be met with the warm hospitality of Uganda. A representative will assist you with your transfer to a selected hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, where you can relax and spend the night, simmering in anticipation of the adventure that awaits.

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Journey to Murchison Falls

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. Midway, you'll visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the proud home of Uganda's rhino reintroduction project. Here, you'll enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience, witnessing these magnificent creatures up close. Then, continue your journey to Murchison Falls, arriving at your lodge with the African sunset as your backdrop.

Day 3: Murchison Falls Wildlife and the Nile's Majesty

Start with an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Murchison Falls, where you'll spot a variety of wildlife including giraffes, elephants, and lions. In the afternoon, a boat cruise awaits to take you to the thundering base of Murchison Falls, an awe-inspiring sight where the world's longest river forces its way through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool below.

Following an exciting day of game drive, return to your accommodation for another restful night (see above).

Day 4: To the Primate Capital - Kibale National Park

Travel to the primate capital, Kibale National Park, renowned for its excellent variety of primates and its luxuriant, ancient forests. The journey is as rewarding as the destination itself, with panoramic views and vibrant local life en route. Settle in at your lodge, nestled in the verdant forest.

Day 5: Kibale's Chimpanzees and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Embark on a guided trek in Kibale Forest in search of its famous chimpanzees. Observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat, along with other forest inhabitants. In the afternoon, enjoy a walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich birdlife and the opportunity to spot smaller primates and other forest creatures.

Following an exciting day of Chimpanzee trekking, return to your accommodation for another restful night (see above).

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Set out for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a marvel of biodiversity with open savannah, rainforest, dense papyrus swamps, and crater lakes. An evening game drive presents the perfect chance to encounter elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, and perhaps leopards, as the golden hues of dusk settle over the landscape.

Day 7: Kasenyi Plains and Kazinga Channel Expedition

Your exploration continues with a morning game drive on the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area for spotting lions and large herds of Uganda kob. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. This relaxing cruise offers excellent opportunities for photography, bird watching, and seeing a large number of mammals at close range as they come to drink at the water's edge.

Day 8: Bwindi via Ishasha

Journey to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park known as Ishasha, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Keep your eyes trained on the fig trees where these unique lions prefer to rest during the day. After this thrilling safari experience, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, your gateway to the mountain gorillas. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for relaxation and overnight.

Day 9: The Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Experience

An exhilarating trek through the diverse ecosystems of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest awaits you. With an experienced guide, you'll track down one of the habituated gorilla families and spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants. The trek's duration is unpredictable, ensuring each encounter is unique and rewarding. After this once-in-a-lifetime experience, return to the lodge to rest and reflect on the day's magical moments.

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park

Depart Bwindi for the tranquil Lake Mburo National Park, an area of savannah, acacia woodlands, and grassy wetlands. On an evening game drive, you may see zebras, impalas, elands, and a variety of birds. The park is also home to the elusive leopard, and a night game drive may reveal this nocturnal predator in action.

Day 11: Morning Nature Walk and Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Enjoy a morning nature walk, where you can experience the wildlife of Lake Mburo on foot, a different and more intimate wildlife encounter. After breakfast, depart for Kampala, with a stopover at the Equator for a photo opportunity and a chance to stand in both hemispheres simultaneously. Continue to Entebbe, arriving in time for your flight home, taking with you memories of an incredible safari experience in the heart of Africa.

Important to Know:

- Children 13 years and above are recognized as adults

Passenger Information:

- Passengers should bring soft-sided bags on safaris as our vehicles have limited luggage space.

- All the passengers must have an Identification Card/Passport for any internal flights.

- Baggage on internal flights is strictly limited to 15kgs per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.

- Passengers arriving in UGANDA will be asked to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.

We accept payment either by credit card or by direct wire transfer.

 1. Payment by Credit Card Online

We accept Visa, Master Card, and American Express. This is the fastest and easiest method of payment as it avoids the necessity of complying with numerous banking procedures. You will need to allow for 3.9% on top of the trip cost, this being bank charges for the use of the credit card. This 3.9% charge stays with the bank, not Pita Safaris.

 2. Payment by Direct Wire Transfer

If paying by this method, any bank charges incurred will be at your cost. Beneficiary bank charges are approximately $45 and they will be added by us to your invoice. It usually takes a minimum of 3 to 5 working days for the funds to arrive in our account. At that point, we can issue your booking confirmation.
