  • Day 1: Dar – Selous Game Reserve

    Pick up from Dar es Salaam early morning around 6:30 a.m and then drive approx 6 hours to Mtemere gate with picnic lunch on route to Selous Game Reserve for afternoon game drive. Selous is famous for its elephants. Other species commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras and greater kudus. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge. Accommodation options:
    Selous Ngalawa Camp, Beho Beho Campsite – inside the park, Tagalagala Campsite or similar (Budget Camping),

  • Day 2: A Full Day of Game Drives in the Selous Game Reserve

    After breakfast, with picnic lunch depart for a morning game drive in the Selous, Africa's largest wildlife sanctuary, with an area of 54.600kms. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge. Accommodation options:

  • Day 3: A Full Day of Walking/ Boating Safaris in the Selous

    After breakfast, go on a morning walking safari with intimate impressions of the rich wildlife in the African bush. Afternoon boating safari in the Great Rufiji River where you’ll see hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Your guide will also be able to point out interesting birds and plant species during this trip. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge. Accommodation options:

  • Day 4: Selous Game Reserve – Mikumi National Park

    After breakfast depart from Selous Game Reserve for scenic drive through the Uluguru Mountains to Mikumi (approx 7 hours). Picnic lunch en route to Mikumi arriving late afternoon. Mikumi National Park is nestled between the Uluguru Mountains to the northeast, and the Rubeho Mountains, Udzungwa Mountains and Rift Valley escarpment to the southwest. As part of the Selous ecosystem, it benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area. The landscape here is beautiful and the wildlife prolific. The park is well-known for its population of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, and greater Kudu, wildebeest, roan and sable antelope. Predators include tree-climbing lions (which are in large number), leopards, wild hunting dogs and black-backed jackal. More than 300 species of birds have been recorded here including Eurasian migrants such as red billed woodpecker, marabou stork and lilac breasted roller. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.   • Day 5: Mikumi National Park

    Full day of game drives around Mikumi National Park. Several observation towers enable you to view the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly Miombo woodland with its gently rolling hills. You can also go on a walking safari with your guide and an armed ranger to get up close and personal with the flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge. Accommodation options:
